sketchbook - Roma
In the Autumn of 2016, I was fortunate enough to have lived in the eternal city, Rome, for 3 months as part of my 4th year term abroad. The following notebook served as a study tool which facilitated drawing my surroundings while in Rome and during trips throughout Italy and Spain. Nowadays, it is far to easy to rely on photographs to capture details and memories, however, the act of drawing architecture is far more effective of a tool to analyze and remember built forms. Now I have a meaningful souvenir of my time and more importantly, an appreciation for the works and settings I’ve seen.
